Internship — Active 3D Tissues in Complex Geometries
How does tissue geometry shape the organization and mechanics of living matter?
We offer an internship to investigate 3D active tissues in controlled and diverse geometries. The project will explore how tissue shape and confinement influence cell organization, collective dynamics, and mechanical properties.
The student will work with 3D multicellular aggregates using tissue engineering, magnetic actuation, quantitative microscopy, and image analysis. The project lies at the interface of active matter, mechanobiology, and tissue biophysics, with potential applications to tissue development and tumour invasion.
Profile: students in biophysics, physics, biology, bioengineering, or related fields, with an interest in interdisciplinary research.
Post-doc — Rheology in 3D tissues
How are cellular mechanical properties varying in a 3D tissues
We open a postdoc position to explore 3D tissues rheology inhomogeneity at the subcellular scale. The project will investigate how tissue organization influence subcellular mechanical properties using magnetic techniques, ground-breaking imaging techniques.
